Our trendy look of the week....Secretary Chic! This sexy, yet sophisticated style, is a sure bet for that important business dinner or party, day at the office, or even a dinner out with friends! A high waisted skirt is a winning way to accent the most slimming part of your bod, while feeling sexy in your trendy lace up boots and chic & savvy shoulder bag! If your more "blessed" around the hips, or even not "blessed" enough, this look is for you! Accentuating the waist will take away from the size of your thighs, and if your super slim, this look will also give you a little more "curve"! Crazy how it flatters polar opposite sizes huh? Throwing a blazer over the top gives it a little more of a "working woman" appeal. Meeting your man after work for dinner with no time to change? Ditch the blazer so you now have on a short sleeve or sleeveless top underneath. Throw on a long pearl necklace and a bling ring...now your ready & looking sexy!

Look of the Week: Mix and Match!

Don't you just love it when you find a new way to wear something that's already in your closet? I know I do! It's like being able to create a whole new look without having to buy an entire outfit - and the good news is, there are tons of items like this available at McAuley's! When you shop our selection of cute skirts, summery shorts, and trendy tops, you'll be guaranteed to find tons of items you can mix and match! Take this Rhinestone Shine Short Sleeve V Neck by Michael Stars, for instance. Sure, it looks wonderful when paired with a bright, beachy pair of white jeans, but have you ever noticed that it would probably also go great with a Wrap Band Skirt by Envi? And what about this cute, comfy Shine Drape Front Scoop Neck Tank by Michael Stars? Layered over a Dance in Paris Seamless Camisole and a pair of jean capris, it looks both sporty and simple, while a textured pink scarf and a pair of light pants - or our brand new Cut Off Shorts by Joe's Jeans - would be sure to add a bit of pizazz to an already amazing look!

Bright jewelry, a colored clutch, fun heels...and even a hat for a super summery style! To channel the runway with this trend, stick to loose breathable materials when doing daytime. Don't have time to go home and change before going to dinner? Your safe! The heels make this perfect for a night out too!

Look of the Week: One Shoulder Dress
Legs and cleavage are often a woman's best fashion accessory, but if neither are your body's strongest features, or you're after something a little less cliche but equally sensual, look to your shoulders and yield to the one shoulder dress trend. Many of the top celebrities wear the one shoulder dress in many different styles and lengths. Get sexy in lace like Kristin Cavallari, go wild with neon and prints like Stephanie Pratt, keep it simple like Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian or steal Brooke Shields' sparkle and shine. Whichever color and print you choose, you are sure to look catch an eye with the sexy one shoulder glam. Although McAuley's Unique Boutique offers a variety of one shoulder dresses, I have chosen three of my favorites including KLD Signature One Shoulder Dress in Jade, French Connection Crayon Carousel Dress, and Pink One Shoulder Dress by Pheobe Couture, that are sure to keep you smoking hot this summer!
Let us see what fabrics and patterns caught your eye this summer by posting a picture of you in your favorite one shoulder dress!

Every girl loves to see and be seen, after all, and it wouldn't do to be caught out and about in just anything. Luckily, McAuley's has everything you need for the perfect late-night outfit, so you too can be as evening-ready as possible in this LC (Lauren Conrad)-inspired look!

Look of the Week: Rompers!

Why settle for just "looking good" this summer? Sure, dresses and skirts are incredibly cute, but if you really want to stand out, you should try something that's fashion-forward and totally fun - rompers! Featured in the Spring 2009 collections of Marc Jacobs, Max Azria, and the like, it's easy to see why these flirty one-piece playsuits are poised to become this season's hottest new trend. Look of the Week: Focus on Neutrals

Neutrals are so UNDER rated…but don’t be mistaken; neutrals are hot! Don’t be afraid of them! Layering a neutral piece with a splash of color is a great and easy way to throw together an outfit. We love layered, laid back looks too. Fabrics such as silk and jersey allow for a draped look; a look that can fall over wanted curves in a delicate, smooth way and hide curves you don’t want seen! Try pairing a neutral piece of yours with a great necklace, bold bag, or sweet shoes! Play around with it…you can’t go wrong with this palette! Take a peek at our look of the week. We’ve taken the French Connection, beige Killer Silk dress and thrown on the orange and gold multi-layered necklace for a splash of color! Fabulous…and so easy!

Look of the Week: My Perfect Easter Dress

This year for Easter, my plans are a bit more formal -- my roommates and I are all celebrating the holiday with family dinner after we finish all of our traditional Easter day activities. I couldn't think of a better dress to fit the occasion than this Trina Turk Ibis Dress in white. I absolutely love the colorful print on the top, and the empire waist is flattering to any figure! For Easter I'm going to dress is down with gold sandals and a cocktail ring, but I've already got this dress in mind for my brother's wedding this summer too! For the wedding, I'll dress it up with metallic heels and matching dangle earrings, and I'll grab a yellow or coral Michael Stars cardigan to take with me in case it gets cold. Between now and then I'm sure I'll get even more use out of this beautiful dress (formal dinners, cocktail parties, dates, etc.), but for now I can rest assured that I have added a staple item in my wardrobe to last me through summer!
Happy Easter everyone!

Look of the Week: Letter to the Easter Bunny

Dear Mr. Easter Bunny,
I’ve never asked you for much, but I HAVE to have this Trina Turk Wildflower dress! When you see this A-mazing A-line, sure to flatter every figure, you’ll understand my urgency. The vibrant floral print is scattered fron to back, neckline to hem and sure to knock them dead. It will go perfectly with the McAuley’s gold wedge sandals that I hope Mom will be gifting me for Easter. If you could also toss a great gold bangle and earrings from the Unique Boutique in my basket, I’ll promise to be extra good this Spring. The whole ensemble is the look of the week, and being the fashionista that I am, I’m just dying to have it! Pretty please with a Peep on top?!
Love,
Taylor

Look of the Week: St. Patrick's Day Edition

If you're looking for a more conservative but sexy look this St. Patrick's Day, try layering a flirty ruffle blouse underneath a boyfriend blazer with a pair of dark bootcut jeans. We like that the green doesn't overwhelm the entire oufit, yet just a hint helps you make it through this year's best holiday without a pinch! Green is also complimented best with gold jewelry, but less is more since the top is already so busy, so gold hoops or dangle earrings would be a great addition.
